Each month, on a Friday, a small group comes together to draw, paint or colour in Mandalas. If you're looking for a quiet space for reflection, this is the group for you.
Mandala is simply a Sanskrit word that loosely translates to mean “circle” or “center.” Mandalas are used in a number of religious traditions, including Christianity, as an aid to meditation.
Mandalas generally have repeating colors, shapes, and patterns radiating from the center. Mandalas can be precise, carefully measured, geometric, and perfectly symmetrical, or in contrast, free flowing, organic, and asymmetrical. Mandalas are often drawn in circles but they can also be drawn in squares.
