The inaugural Canberra Scone-Off is happening in Kippax (West Belconnen) on Saturday 18 November. It only costs $5 to enter one of seven categories of baked scones. Certificates and prizes will be awarded in each category.
There are 7 entry categories, including a gluten-free category and FREE entry for junior bakers. MC Lish Fejer will keep us entertained on the day as we eat scones and watch the judging.
Entries will be judged by a stellar cast of famous people, including:
Deputy Chief Minister Yvette Berry;
ACT Minister for the Arts, Minister for Business & Better Regulation, Minister for Human Rights, & Minister for Multicultural Affairs Tara Cheyne;
ACT Opposition leader Elizabeth Lee;
Former ACT Attorney-General Gordon Ramsay and more.
Entry to watch the event is FREE, with Devonshire tea and other yummy items available for purchase.
